
AUSCHAM VIETNAM AND UNISA PROJECT
The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AUSCHAM) is a not-for-profit and membership-based non-government organisation. AUSCHAM promotes and acts for the interests of Australian businesses that operating in Vietnam. Key to the growth and relevance of AUSCHAM are the Vietnamese citizens who have gained Australian qualifications in Australia and Vietnam.
The University of South Australia is an innovative, world-class institution built on more than 150 years of teaching, learning and research excellence. With more than 32,000 students, the university is South Australia’s largest and was ranked 25th in the QS World University Rankings for institutions under 50 years old in 2015.
In 2016, the University of South Australia partnered with AUSCHAM Vietnam to provide media arts, journalism and communication students with real world experiential learning through a project that promoting the strong relationship between Vietnam and Australia since the Battle of Long Tan.
On 14 August, fourteen UniSA staff and students headed to Vietnam to start the one-week journey. Together we attended numerous events, met interesting and important people, formed professional relationships with different people; we observed things around us and always tried to explore different corners while in Vietnam. That’s how we, as young and curious university students, tell the stories.
